A
labama venue a stop on path to US Senior Open
Wynlakes Golf and Country Club in Montgomery will be the site on May 12 for the only Alabama qualifier for the US Senior Open at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The event is open to golfers 50 or older who have a handicap index of 3.4 or lower.
Qualifying will be conducted over 18 holes. Qualifying will be held at 33 sites across the United States between May 2 and June 1. Online entry applications are available now and will continue through Wednesday, April 27, at 5 p.m. EDT here.
Wynlakes and Worthington Hills Country Club, in Columbus, Ohio, will each host Senior Open qualifying for the eighth time. Ted Tryba advanced to the championship at Omaha (Neb.) Country Club last year as an alternate from the Wynlakes qualifier and went on to tie for 34th.
