Rick Gorman Named Golf Professional of the Year
The Alabama-NW Florida Section award winners for 2020 have been announced.
Leading the group of honorees is Rick Gorman, general manager at Scenic Hills Country Club in Pensacola,who was named the Golf Professional of the Year for 2020.
“It is truly an honor to be named Golf Professional of the Year,” Gorman told alabamanwfloridapga.com. “I am elated to share this award with my family, friends and fellow PGA Professionals – it speaks volumes to our golf operations staff and membership here at Scenic Hills. Thank you to the committee for this outstanding honor.”
A 25-year PGA member, it’s Gorman’s first Alabama–NW Florida PGA Section Award.

The Alabama–NW Florida PGA, established in 1969, is one of 41 Sections that make up the PGA of America. The section is headquartered in the Birmingham suburb of Pelham at Ballantrae Golf Club. It represents over 400 Members and Associates in the state of Alabama and the Florida Panhandle.
