Riviera Country Club will host in June

The USGA announced the qualifying sites for the 81st U.S. Women’s Open Championship Presented by Ally set for June 4-7 at The Riviera Country Club, in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

None of the 26 qualifiers will be held in Alabama. Qualifying will take place over 36 holes across the U.S., and in Canada, Japan and England between April 20 and May 13. The online entry application is open and will continue through Wednesday, April 1, at 4 p.m. CDT

Of the 17 states that will host a U.S. Women’s Open qualifier, California will host the most with four, followed by Florida (3) and Texas (2).

Birdie Kim is the last player to win the U.S. Women’s Open (2005) after advancing through qualifying. In 2025, 11 golfers who advanced through qualifying made the 36-hole cut in the Women’s Open at Erin Hills, in Erin, Wis.

The USGA accepted 1,904 entries for the 2025 U.S. Women’s Open. This year’s event will be the first U.S. Women’s Open held in Greater Los Angeles.
