Room, board included in entry fee
.Have money to burn? Troon Golf is organizing golf competitions and luxury accomodations at Pinehurst, Whistling Straits and TPC Sawgrass.
At Pinehurst, the deal is for four nights of double-occupancy lodging at the Carolina Hotel & Manor, three rounds of golf – on Nos. 2, 6 and 8 -Aug. 23-27. The package includes breakfast daily, a first-night welcome reception and final-night awards dinner, plus a hospitality event on The CRadle, Pinehurst’s short course.
The competition is a pro-am, with prizes for the top six teams and a separate purse for the top six professionals. All fees for the professional are comped provided he or she shares a room with an amateur and enters a complete team.
Cost of the event is $4.675 per player for a team of four amateurs, or $5,900 per person for a team of three amateurs and a (comped) professional. The field is limited to 208 players. Click here to register.
The event at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin, Aug. 8-13, is limited to 100 players. The package includes five nights lodging at the American Club or Carriage House, four rounds of golf — two rounds on the Straits Course and one each on the Irish Course and the River Course at Blackwolf Run.
The entry fee covers double-occupancy lodging, breakfast each day, a first-night welcome reception, a final-night awards banquet and other hospitality events through the week.
Cost for a team of four amateurs is $5,125 per person and $6,500 per player for three amateurs and a (comped) professional. There will be prizes for the top six teams and top six professionals. Professionals will be comped if they enter with a team of three amateurs and share a room with an amateur. Click here to register.
The TPC Sawgrass event is a two-person best-ball competition Sept. 24-27. The field is limited to 100 players. Professionals are not eligible.
The $4,200-per-player entry fee covers one round of golf on the Stadium Course and one round on the Dye Course; three nights double-occupancy lodging at the Marriott Sawgrass; breakfasts, lunches and dinners; a forecaddie plus graatuity for both rounds; a $60 golf shop credit; beverages on the course; a welcome gift valued at $600; and net and gross first- and second-place trophies. The fee for a non-playing guest is $950, which covers double-occupancy lodging and food and beverages. Click here to register.
