The newly organized Par 3 Golf Association will represent and be the voice of par 3 golf courses and the people who own and operate them.
The Par 3 Golf Association is founded on the belief that par 3 golf is not just a shortened version of the game but a distinct experience that tests accuracy and strategy, the new group says.
. “Par 3 courses are where the essence of golf shines,” said Ronan Galvin, the founder of the association, which goes by the acronym P3GA. They are accessible, require less time to play, and offer an excellent opportunity for players of all skill levels to hone their game,” Galvin said.
Membership in the P3GA is open to all golf course owners and operators but par 3 and short course owner will find the most benefits, he said.
The P3GA aims to support the growth and maintenance of par 3 golf courses worldwide. Part of its mission is to collaborate with course designers, golfing bodies, and local communities to promote the development and sustainability of these courses.
