Division of Troon Now Managing Three Alabama Clubs
Honours Golf, a division of the golf course management giant Troon, has been selected to manage Gadsden Country Club, a private golf, tennis and banquet facility in Gadsden.
Honours Golf, based in Birmingham, will oversee all of the club’s operations, including golf, agronomy, sales and marketing, and food and beverage. Gadsden Country Club is the third Alabama private club to be managed by Honours Golf. The other two are Craft Farms Golf Resort and Peninsula Golf & Racquet Club in Gulf Shores.
The 102-year-old club features an 18-hole golf course, tennis complex, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a restaurant and banquet facilities.
Gadsden Country Club Board President Jason Weaver said, “We feel confident this relationship will take our club to the next level and most importantly increase our member value.”
‘The Future is Bright’ at Gadsden Country Club
The golf experience at the club includes a 6,657-yard, course designed by Bill Bergin, two practice putting greens, a practice range and a practice chipping area. Other golf amenities include a Trackman launch monitor and an indoor simulator. The club has active ladies golf and junior golf programs.

The club’s 28,000-square-foot clubhouse is home to multiple dining facilities including two grills, a casual dining room, a main bar, and several private dining rooms that are used for banquet and private events. The 3,600 square-foot tennis clubhouse is the hub for the Club’s tennis activities, which includes 12 tennis courts.
Honours Golf manages the following Alabama public golf courses: Cider Ridge, Gateway Park, Highland Park, Lagoon Park, NorthRiver Yacht Club and One Club Shores Golf.
