Azalea City Golf Course is a municipal golf course in the City of Mobile’s Langan Park. Its 18 holes have been serving the citizens of Mobile for over 50 years. The course is one of the more affordable courses in the Mobile area.
Designed by notable architect Robert Bruce Harris, who was a friend of famed architect Donald Ross, Azalea City opened in 1957 and is operated by the City of Mobile. Azalea City boasts a rich history playing host to the PGA Tour, the Alabama Open and the Mobile Metro Championship.
The traditional parkland style design provides playability and challenge for all types of golfers. The golf course consistently ranks as one of the best places to play in numerous polls and is an overwhelming favorite of local golfers. Azalea City is 13 miles due west of Downtown Mobile.
Azalea City has a par 72 course that plays 6,850 yards from the tips. It’s seeded with Champion Bermuda on tees and greeens and Bermuda on its fairways. Its rating/slope for its four sets of tees are: blue tees, 71.2 – 115; white tees 69.9 – 112, gold tees 66.6 – 104; red tees 70.3 – 122
